A new look for young readers at Allington Library

Families and library users are being welcomed back to Allington Library following the completion of refurbishment works to its children's area.

The improvements have created a brighter, more inviting space for children and families to enjoy books, take part in activities and spend time together. The refreshed children's area will host popular sessions including Story Time and Rhyme Time, helping inspire a love of reading from an early age.

The lighting throughout the library has also been upgraded, making the building an even more welcoming place for residents to visit, whether they're borrowing books, using computers, studying, attending events or simply enjoying the space.

‘The upgraded children's area is fantastic, providing a welcoming space for families to read, learn and spend time together. We know how important libraries are in helping children develop a lifelong love of books, and this refurbishment will help support that for years to come.
