Contractor Landscape Services, part of the Commercial Services Group, has been appointed to deliver the project with improvements due to start in September and continue throughout the winter months.
The programme will bring new trees and planting to key locations across Ebbsfleet Garden City and the surrounding highway network. Areas including roundabouts, roadside verges and main routes into the area will be enhanced to create a greener, more welcoming environment while also supporting local wildlife.
Alongside planting, the programme will create dedicated habitats for wildlife, including shelters for reptiles and amphibians and insect homes. These features provide places for animals to breed, nest and shelter during the winter, supporting biodiversity and enhancing the area's natural environment.
Work has been carefully planned to take place at the most suitable times of year for planting and local wildlife, giving new trees and plants the best possible chance to thrive.
