Dr Kate Langford, Chief Medical Officer at NHS Kent and Medway, said:  “The Baton of Hope’s visit to Kent and Medway highlights the power of open conversations about mental health. By encouraging people to speak up,  seek support, and not suffer in silence, we can all take meaningful steps toward preventing suicide. If you need urgent help, call 111 and select the mental health option, or call 999 immediately if someone’s life is at risk.”
