Championed by Explore Kent and Greener Kent, the Summer of Cycling campaign invites residents to embrace the sunshine and longer evenings by considering cycling and wheeling as an alternative to car journeys.
Whether it’s a short distance to run errands, a day out with family and friends or commuting to work, cycling is a great way to maintain a healthy lifestyle, connect with nature and contribute to a greener environment.
There’s a lot to discover when cycling. Explore Kent has all the cycle trails and cycle parks across the county, and are introducing the Junior Cycling Challenge, new for Summer 2024.
Young explorers can take part in the Explore Kent Junior Cycling Challenge and receive a Bronze (5km), Silver (8km) and Gold (10km) certificate for their cycling adventures. To find out more, visit Explore Kent Junior Cycling Challenge - Explore Kent.
