Kent County Council (KCC) is participating in the 2026–27 National Highways and Transport (NHT) Surveys, delivered by measure2improve on behalf of the NHT Network. Councils across the UK are inviting local people to share their views on a range of transport-related topics including:
- Accessibility
- Highways maintenance
- Public transport
- Road safety
- Tackling congestion
- Walking and cycling
KCC is keen to hear from as many people as possible, regardless of how long they have lived in Kent or whether they pay Council Tax. The surveys are open to everyone, and respondents can complete any, or all, of the topics that interest them.
The results of the surveys will be shared with KCC’s highway and transportation managers to provide valuable insight into public opinion. This feedback will help inform future planning and improvements to roads, public transport, walking and cycling infrastructure across Kent.
All responses are anonymous. Some optional questions, such as age range, are included to help ensure a wide range of voices are represented and to identify any groups that may be under-represented.
A summary of last year’s survey results is available on the NHT Network website, providing an overview of how residents previously rated local services.
The surveys are open now and will close on 28 February 2027.
Residents can take part by visiting the Let’s Talk Kent website and selecting the survey topics they wish to complete.

“I would like to encourage anyone who uses our transport network, whether that’s driving, walking, cycling or using public transport, to take a few minutes to share their views. The more feedback we receive, the better we will understand the concerns and priorities of the people of Kent.”
